Job Opportunity: Grade 2 Occupational Therapist in Emergency & Trauma Centre
We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Emergency & Trauma Centre. The successful applicant will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and improve outcomes.
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position that offers autonomy of practice, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive team environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing patients who present with mild traumatic brain injuries or concussions, providing education to patients, families, and staff, and contributing to the development of evidence-based clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess patients in the Emergency & Trauma Centre who present with mild traumatic brain injuries or concussions.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote optimal recovery and return to function.
* Provide education to patients, families, and staff on concussion management and prevention strategies.
* Contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical practices and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent qualification.
* Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership).
* Minimum three years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
* Current Victorian Driver's License (unrestricted).
* Current Working with Children's Check.
