Length of contract: 12 months + 24 months

Overview:
Project Managers plan and manage the delivery of projects.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Utilising enterprise systems ITSM tool ServiceNow to track and manage software license allocation, usage and recovery in large-scale ICT environments.
• Ensuring clients use software in accordance with licence terms, and optimising their software licences based on technical and business requirements.
• Analysing existing software deployments to quantify licence usage and finding opportunities for optimisation (this can be complex and technical due to various vendor licensing methods).
• Engaging with client stakeholders in relation to their use and management of software.
• Improving the management of software across all phases of its lifecycle including planning, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
• Actively participating in IT Service Management (ITSM) Governance forums, providing subject matter expertise and solutions to complex problems.
• Monitoring and reporting on Service Level Agreement (SLA) Compliance.
• Identifying and developing key areas of improvement with the ITSM tool, ensuring alignment to industry standards and ensuring process efficiencies, maturity and data integrity.
• Supporting assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices.
• Identifying continual service improvement initiatives and supporting projects and programs of work focused on transformation and maturity of IT Service Management. Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
• Project Schedules.
• Project Implementation Plans.
• Project Management Plans.
• Benefits Management Plans.
• Stage plans.
• Baseline Change Requests – as required and if applicable.
• Statement of Requirements.
• Transition Plans.
• Log of all agreed changes to business practices and processes in accordance with the relevant program Schedules.
• Preparing weekly status progress reports for assigned deliverables.
Essential Criteria:
• Financial management: Level 4 (SFIA) Monitors and maintains financial records to agreed requirements for compliance and audit. Assists with identifying and calculating process, service, project and component costs for financial planning and budgeting. Collates required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision-making.
• Requirements definition and management: Level 4 (SFIA) Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity. Contributes to selecting the requirements approach. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements. Establishes requirements base-lines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source.

• Performance management: Level 4 (SFIA) Provides operational direction, support and guidance to assigned colleagues. Allocates routine tasks or project work, in line with team objectives and individual capabilities. Monitors quality and performance against agreed criteria to make learning recommendations or to escalate concerns. Coaches colleagues in developing target skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals. Facilitates effective working relationships between team members.
