Responsibilities
* Provide and maintain an efficient admission service to the Northern Cancer Service.
* Provide day‑to‑day coordination of information, forms, correspondence and documents associated with chargeable patients at Holman Clinic, North West Cancer Centre and Mersey Community Hospital Day Oncology Unit.
* Provide an efficient and effective liaison service for private and compensable patients.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated hospital admissions or clerical experience, including accurate patient interviewing, medical records management, and use of computerised patient administration or health information systems.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with patients, families and clinical staff, and accurately capture demographic and financial information.
* Compliance and integrity requirements, including completion of mandatory pre‑employment checks (criminal history, identification and disciplinary checks), adherence to confidentiality, and ability to meet Department of Health policies and procedures.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (or $73,811 to $86,248 pro rata). Employer superannuation contribution of 12% on top of base salary.
