No day will be the same! With demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team of engineers/inspectors on site, you’ll also liaise with clients and manage jobs (quoting, budgets and deliverables etc). You’ll oversee a team of structural inspection engineers and provide structural engineering support to structural maintenance crews and the engineering department. This will include expert advice on site inspection and repair procedures & processes to the Site Engineering Department, Managers & site-based engineers. About You With 5-10 years of engineering and site inspection experience, you’ll assume responsibility for assessing and reporting on the structural integrity of heavy industrial and materials handling structures and equipment. Typical structures may include large conveyors, transfer towers, surge bins, bridges, stackers/reclaimers & dump stations. You must be fit, energetic and keen to be actively involved in site-based inspections. The key prerequisites are: Degree in Engineering (must have RPEQ Structural/Civil or CPEng) Structural steel & concrete design and inspection experience Conversant in AS1170, AS1657, AS4100, AS3600 (AS4324.1 pref) Confidence to make engineering judgement decisions Lead & provide expert advice to site engineering and maint. teams Exp. with hands-on-site inspection work and construction supervision Ability to manage and delegate work to structural team members Well-developed report writing, verbal and interpersonal skills Ability to work at heights and confined spaces Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Hold a current driver's licence Able to work remotely up to 5 days/week (typically 3-4 days) What’s on Offer Paid overtime on ALL hours worked plus site uplift Training for career progression and leadership development Wellbeing initiatives, uniform laundering & staff social events Relocation assistance can also be provided An attractive salary package (PLUS paid overtime) will be negotiated depending on your experience.
