Geotechnical Engineer (Queensland)
We're seeking a driven, professional Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Queensland. The role can be based in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast. In this position you'll conduct both detail design and site investigations on a diverse portfolio of projects, applying your technical knowledge and initiative to make a significant impact.
Key Accountabilities
* Take ownership of small projects or key components of larger projects, including planning, resourcing and execution.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, coordination and timely delivery.
* Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the broader team.
* Apply sound project‐management principles to deliver outcomes on time and to a high standard.
* Independently undertake technical tasks across a broad range of geotechnical projects.
* Prepare technical reports, proposals and recommendations.
* Monitor project scope, risks and performance across multiple assignments.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
About You
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Geotechnical or Civil preferred).
* 2‐3 years' experience in geotechnical design and site investigations, ideally within an Engineering Consultancy.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to apply engineering principles to interpret data and make sound decisions.
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
* Confidence working independently and adapting to new challenges.
* Solid computer literacy across engineering and reporting tools.
