Primary objective
To provide frontline reception services and general administration services to Mental Health Central Australia Region
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Monitor and coordinate the use of fleet vehicles including arranging vehicle disposal, servicing, registrations,
maintenance and repairs to vehicles and ensuring usage complies with NT Fleet policy and procedures.
1. Monitor and maintain leased and purchased office equipment and stationery in Mental Health buildings and coordinate
the maintenance, repairs, replacement or purchasing of equipment when required.
1. Utilise Health Procurement System to order stationery and consumables as required.
2. Provide prompt, professional and accurate information for in-person and telephone enquiries, directing calls or messages
to staff and attending to requests as necessary.
1. Assist Clinicians and the Outpatient Clinic Coordinator upload confidential documents into clinical systems.
2. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with the ability to work under pressure within a
multidisciplinary Mental Health team.
1. Proven ability to effectively complete a wide range of office support functions and administrative tasks with limited
supervision and support whilst maintaining high levels of organisation and time management.
1. Demonstrated high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to manage conflicting priorities and exercise
initiative.
1. Proven ability to establish and maintain systems to monitor and manage workflows and functions in; equipment leasing
and maintenance, office supplies and consumables and fleet and accommodation schedules.
1. Recent prior experience working in a frontline Mental Health/Health facility with proven ability to work effectively with
patients and clients with mental and/or physical disabilities from diverse cultures and non-English speaking backgrounds.
6. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
