Mechanical Design Drafter - Entry Level
Location: Mawson Lakes, SA (Williamtown, NSW also considered)
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Design Drafter, you will help create and update mechanical designs and engineering drawings for a range of engineering projects. You will support projects across different areas of the business while building technical skills and industry experience.
With training and support from senior team members, you will gain exposure to all stages of the engineering process and assist with a range of activities, including:
* Preparing and updating 3D CAD models, detailed design drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
* Assisting with design reviews and engineering documentation checks.
* Managing supplier design information and engineering records.
* Supporting prototype builds, design improvements, and document updates.
Qualifications
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good problem‐solving skills and confidence to seek information when needed.
* Basic experience with 3D CAD software, engineering drawings and drafting standards.
* Experience using Windows‐based computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Recently completed or currently completing a TAFE or equivalent qualification in Engineering Drafting, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
