Total Remuneration Package: up to $151,704.00. Base salary ranges from $87,550.00 to $133,846.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
Young High School is a rural comprehensive high school located in Wiradjuri Country approximately under 4 hours south west of Sydney and under 2 hours from Canberra and Wagga Wagga. We have a strong focus on academic growth and developing resilience, empathy, acceptance and teamwork across the school community. The school has an enrolment of 530 students from diverse cultural backgrounds, including 13% Aboriginal students and an increasing Muslim student enrolment which is currently 8%. In addition, we have a support unit consisting of 5 support multicategorical (MC) classes. The school works closely with the local community.

Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach and/or experience teaching students with Autism and/ or Behaviour Difficulties and/ or Mild Intellectual Disability and/ or Moderate Intellectual Disability and/ or Emotional Disturbance with demonstrated excellence in differentiated classroom teaching practice.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, proactively and professionally with colleagues, parents and carers, SLSO staff, external support agencies and the wider community.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills and wellbeing practices with demonstrated ability to utilise data to plan for the effective individualised support of student wellbeing and learning programs
Conditions
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
