We are working with a prominent financial institution to hire a detail-oriented and experienced KYC/AML Officer. This position is ideal for someone with a background in Banking who is looking to further develop their expertise in client due diligence and regulatory compliance. You will play a vital role in managing the KYC process, monitoring AML risks, and supporting the organisation in maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance. This position is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract initially, with a good chance of extension or permanency. What You’ll Be Doing: Carry out in-depth KYC reviews and onboarding for both new and existing institutional clients. Monitor and update client records as part of ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD). Evaluate client profiles against sanctions lists, adverse media, and internal watchlists. Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as the Front Office and Compliance—to resolve screening issues and clarify complex client structures. Follow established protocols for AML, sanctions, and risk mitigation, ensuring all checks are compliant with regulatory and internal standards. Highlight and escalate any unusual activity or potential risks identified during the review process. Help maintain and improve internal guidelines, procedures, and training documents. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and communicate any relevant updates to the wider team. What We’re Looking For: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in AML/KYC and client screening within Corporate or Institutional Banking. Demonstrated understanding of institutional client onboarding and regulatory due diligence. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and screening platforms. Analytical thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
