The Service

KU West Pymble Preschool is a lovely community based centre with a dedicated and passionate team who care for children from 3 to 5 years of age.

The preschool lives and breathes sustainability and consistently promotes it to families and the local community. To acknowledge their exceptional work in this space, the preschool was a finalist at the prestigious 2021 HESTA Early Childhood Education and Care Awards in the 'Advancing Pedagogy and Practice'. The preschool was recognised for embedding sustainability into their pedagogy and practice, contributing to their vision for a better, healthier world.

KU West Pymble has a special interest in wildlife protection and interaction. We also encourage children to reduce our carbon footprint through incorporating sustainable practices throughout the service.

The Role

We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher with excellent programming skills and an interest in sustainability and embedding sustainable ways into everyday practice.

This permanent, part-time position will see you working 7.6 hours per day, Wednesday-Friday during NSW school term time. You will also be able to join our casual pool, if desired so that you can work at other nearby KU services.

Of course, you will need:

* Relevant experience
* An ACCEQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates
* Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
* Active NESA Teacher Accreditation
* Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
* Current Working with Children Check
* Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
