A Sydney based client is looking for a Linux Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis.
You will be working on enterprise-wide systems both on projects and BAU initiatives. The team itself is a friendly and supportive and they work on a hybrid basis. They like to catch up a couple of times a week in their Sydney offices. In an ideal world you will have touched on the following in a commercial setting:
* Experience in managing storage, backup environment across preferably Dell suit of services and public cloud environments
* Hand on experience across switching platforms
* Experience in operating and managing VM ware
* Highly desirable public cloud knowledge across AWS and Azure and code-based delivery using CI/CD pipeline.
* Excellent knowledge and experience working in large and complex, critical infrastructure environments
* Experience in driving operational maturity utilising automation and shift left methodology highly desirable.
* Knowledge of technical architecture designs and ability to document and manage a complex hybrid cloud environment.
* Solid understanding of change management processes
* F5 knowledge highly desirable
Qualifications
* ITIL certification desirable.
* Public cloud certification.
Experience
* Minimum 6 years in a role dedicated to Linux or RedHat/Perl/html
* Working in an enterprise-wide large environment
* Working directly with internal and external customers
* Writing technical documents
* Experience managing Cloud based infrastructure and automation
* Complex enterprise environments who worked in delivery and operating in critical shared infrastructure env.
* Ability to debug and optimise code and to automate routine tasks
* Broad understanding of large-scale system architecture, automation, integration and processes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
