About This Role
This is a Brisbane-based opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to support growth, commercial performance, and operational improvement across a diverse national Industries business. Reporting to the General Manager, the role offers commercial leadership across contract management, margin optimisation, financial performance, business planning, reporting and governance. With acquisitions ongoing, the position will support acquisition activity, integration planning, and commercial oversight of newly acquired businesses.
The role requires strong financial and commercial acumen, practical contract management capability, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to support strategic growth initiatives. Candidates must have current Australian work rights.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and execution of commercial strategy across the Industries business.
* Drive commercial performance through margin optimisation, pricing strategy, contract quality, and return on capital initiatives.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, commercial analysis and strategic initiatives.
* Monitor business performance and work with operational leaders to drive improvement actions.
* Provide commercial governance support for major CAPEX, bids, tenders and high‐profile commercial matters.
* Review and support supplier agreements, leases, subcontractor arrangements and related commercial requirements.
* Prepare business cases, financial models and commercial assessments to support investment decisions.
* Support acquisition activity, including target evaluation, due diligence, integration planning and value realisation.
* Maintain acquisition pipeline reporting and market intelligence aligned to growth strategy.
* Provide timely business performance reporting and strategic insight to support leadership decision‐making.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business or related field.
* Strong experience in commercial operations, financial management, budgeting and business analysis.
* Demonstrated contract management and commercial governance capability.
* Experience supporting business performance, margin improvement and ROI initiatives.
* Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence or integration activity – highly regarded.
* Strong Excel, financial modelling and reporting capability.
* Ability to work with Finance, operations and senior leadership teams.
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‐solving skills.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
* Current Australian work rights.
