Support Our Community as an Engagement Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Activation team as an Engagement Specialist. As part of our dynamic team, you will provide crucial support services to job seekers and students, helping them achieve their education and employment goals.
* You will provide person-centred phone and video servicing, building trust with participants and setting clear expectations for the support they can expect from us.
* Connect participants to activities that meet their obligations, ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.
* Welcome participants into our programs, explaining the level of support and service we offer, as well as their responsibilities and obligations.
* Support participants with job matching, interviews, and resumes, helping them take the next step in their career journey.
* Provide post-placement support via phone, helping individuals transition smoothly into the workforce.
* Reconnect with disengaged participants, using your skills and experience to bring them back on track.
* Undertake centralised administrative tasks, working efficiently and effectively to support the team.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with the team to perform various activities, including welcoming participants, following up on non-attendance, assisting with resumes, implementing engagement strategies, job matching, rescheduling appointments, live chat, providing interview support, referrals, and promoting courses.
To succeed in this role, you will:
* Possess passion or experience working with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and age groups.
* Have confidence when interacting with inbound/outbound calls, using your excellent communication and negotiation skills to build rapport with participants.
* Be able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating your ability to adapt to changing situations.
* Demonstrate exceptional administration and time management skills, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
* Provide high-quality, tailored customer service, exceeding participant expectations through your professionalism and dedication.
* Prior experience in employment services is desirable, but not essential - what's more important is your commitment to supporting others and making a positive impact.
* Satisfy pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
