**About the Company**GOLD Educational Tours is a Perth-based organisation dedicated to providing transformative educational and cultural exchange programs between Australia and Japan. We specialise in hosting Japanese student groups, arranging school exchanges, homestay placements, and immersive travel experiences tailored to young learners.
- Coordinate itineraries for student groups, including homestay, ground transport, school visits, and local excursions
- Communicate with Japanese partner schools, students, and host families in English and, where applicable, Japanese
- Liaise with local providers (e.g. bus companies, accommodation venues, tour guides)
- Suggest and prepare itineraries based on travel routes, carriers, costs, and client requirements
- Make and confirm travel and accommodation reservations
- Provide detailed travel documents, schedules, and emergency contact protocols
- Advise on travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunisations, insurance, and local customs
- Offer information on tour packages, points of interest, and travel conditions
- Issue tickets, travel vouchers, and related documents
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and vendor records
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide ongoing assistance
- Support group arrivals and departures, including occasional on-ground tour support
- Ensure all arrangements comply with relevant travel, safety, and duty-of-care standards
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years' full-time experience in group travel, educational programs, or tour coordination
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture and communication (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, mission-driven team
- Flexibility to assist during peak travel seasons, including some weekends
- Certificate III/IV or above qualifications in Marketing, Travel, Tourism, Education Support, or Event Management preferred
**Salary and Conditions**
- Annual salary: AUD $76,515 (excluding superannuation)
- Full-time: 38 hours per week
- Location: Perth, Western Australia
Pay: $76,515.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
