The Role An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker (Mental Health - Orchid Inpatient Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will Provide an efficient and responsive mental health Social Work service within identified models of care and in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health standardsUtilise knowledge of Social Work theories and frameworks in understanding the impact of the environment and culture on the development of mental illnessUndertake routine psychosocial assessments to support diagnosis, treatment, education and case managementApply professional judgement to facilitate effective clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence across multiple clinical areas About you To be successful in this position you will require: A tertiary degree in Social WorkEligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social WorkersDriver licenceBlue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loadingInterstate/International candidates may be for the – up $20,000!
