We are looking for a second-line Compliance professional to support our business units on a 12-month fixed term contract.
What You'll Do
* Identify and analyse the impact of new, proposed or amended laws, regulations and industry codes relevant to the company, and develop clear action plans to ensure ongoing compliance, overseeing business unit implementation where required.
* Provide expert, commercially pragmatic compliance advice to business units on initiatives, product changes and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with APRA prudential standards, ASIC obligations, privacy requirements and consumer law.
* Lead regulatory change impact assessments and coordinate cross-functional implementation of compliance uplift initiatives, ensuring timely and effective embedding of new regulatory requirements.
* Partner with Product, Legal, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to embed compliance-by-design principles into product development, system enhancements and operational processes.
* Support supervisory engagements, regulatory reviews and information requests from APRA, ASIC, OAIC and other relevant regulators, including preparation of responses and coordination of internal stakeholders.
* Contribute to compliance reporting for Executive and Board Risk Committees, providing clear insights on regulatory developments, emerging risks, breaches and remediation progress.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum of 7 years' experience in a risk, compliance, or audit role, ideally within a technology-driven organisation or a finance/payments environment.
* At least five years' experience within a Compliance function, with a specialisation in and understanding of ASIC, APRA, OAIC regulation.
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
* Excellent reporting and analytical skills, with solid attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* A collaborative team player who can also work independently, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in a changing environment.
