**About Baraja**
Baraja is changing the world of self-driving cars through the invention of a new type of LiDAR called Spectrum-Scan that delivers ultra-high performance at high resolution, even at incredibly far distances. Today, Baraja LiDAR is already deployed in multiple verticals, working with global automotive and industrial partners.

Originally founded in Sydney, Australia, we also have offices in the US, China and Europe. We are funded by Sequoia Capital, Blackbird and Main Sequence Ventures and we are excited to continue growing the team, so if you are looking for a rapid-paced, dynamic role in a start-up we are keen to hear from you!

**The Opportunity**
In partnership with Tier 1 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Veoneer-Qualcomm, we are jointly re-inventing LiDAR towards its miniaturisation behind the windshield. This seamless automotive integration can help autonomous vehicle achieve full autonomy (Level 4), thereby improving safety on our roads.

We are looking for 2 x Manufacturing Operators to help us with the production of our flagship product: the miniaturised version of our LiDAR.

The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager in our growing Advanced Manufacturing team.

**Your Success**
The primary focus is to support the build of our LiDAR system across all activities from receiving and inspecting components, assembling products and testing completed systems. This includes:
1 - Pilot Production

You'll be involved in the full end-to-end.

This includes:

- Manually assemble optical and electrical components according to Work Instructions
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
- Build and test sub-assemblies and final product
- Identify problems and suggest improvements
- Assist engineers in developing, building or testing prototypes or new products, processes or procedures

2- System Testing
- Calibrate LiDAR systems through running an automated procedure
- Gauge Reliability & Repeatability by run the test concurrently with 2 other Operators
- Commence all safety checks
- Commence LiDAR Final Test according to Work Instructions
- Generate from our software the LiDAR Final Test report

**Your Qualifications & Skills**

You have commercial experience in assembling complex products and testing completed systems.
- Desirable_
Ideally, you'd have commercial experience in the following:

- Qualification in Electronics, Optical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Optical / electronics component
- Soldering of electronics components and rework of PCBs
- Certification from Global Association for Electronics Manufacturing (e.g. IPC (Institute for Printed Circuits) Certification, etc)
- Highly regulated environment (e.g. medical devices, electronics, military, automotive, defence, aerospatial, etc)

- Design Thinking (e.g. Viability, Feasibility, Usability, etc)
