General Surgery Registrar
Location: Shepparton, Goulburn Valley (Regional Victoria)
Commencement: Flexible
A busy regional health service in the Goulburn Valley is seeking a General Surgery Registrar to join a well-established surgical department. This role offers excellent operative exposure, strong consultant supervision, and broad general surgery experience in a supportive regional environment.
Responsibilities
* Participation in general surgical inpatient and outpatient care
* Exposure to emergency and elective general surgery
* Operating theatre experience appropriate to training level
* Participation in an on-call roster with consultant support
* Involvement in pre-operative assessment and post-operative management
* Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff
* Participation in audit, morbidity & mortality meetings, and quality improvement activities
Qualifications / About You
* Demonstrated interest in general surgery
* Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment
* Strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
