At Amana Living, we are seeking an experienced professional to manage our landscaped areas and gardens.
About the Role
We require a Landscape Manager to oversee all aspects of garden maintenance and landscaping projects, ensuring they are well-designed, responsive to residents and staff needs, and environmentally sustainable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating regular garden care tasks, recommending updates to improve sustainability, managing gardening schedules across locations, providing expert advice on landscaping matters, reviewing plant selections, and conducting site visits to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
* Main Tasks:
o Coordinate and manage day-to-day garden care activities.
o Plan and implement landscaping projects across multiple sites.
o Supervise subcontracted landscaping teams and ensure quality work.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves:
* Project Management: Oversee the planning and completion of landscaping projects, supervise subcontracted teams, manage budgets, supplies, equipment, and timelines.
* Garden Maintenance: Coordinate regular garden care activities, including irrigation, pest management, fertilization, and seasonal tasks.
* Sustainability Initiatives: Recommend updates to improve environmental sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
* Site Visits: Conduct site visits to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related discipline).
* Current National Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience managing both hardscape and softscape landscaping projects.
* Strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, and project administration.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Clear and respectful verbal and written communication.
* Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
* Current National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months).
* NDIS Screening Check.
* Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations (in line with company policies).
* Valid Western Australian C Class Driver's License.
* Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.
