About the Role
As the Site Quality Control Manager, you will lead and enhance the site's quality management systems. Reporting to senior management, this hands-on role ensures compliance, drives improvement initiatives, and maintains the organisation's reputation for excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO 9001 and AS9100D accreditation.
* Lead and mentor Inspectors to meet quality standards. Coordinate all internal and external audits with the support of 3rd party quality representatives.
* Oversee product inspection processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly.
* Review and update the Quality Manual and Work Instructions.
* Liaise with customer auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance with customers' specifications.
Key Requirements
* 5+ years managing a quality department in automotive, defence, aerospace manufacturing, or high-precision engineering.
* Proven success in achieving successful quality audit results across ISO 9001 and AS9100D.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage priorities and lead a team effectively.
