School Overview
Windsor High School is a comprehensive secondary school of approximately 642 students, serving communities from Wiseman's Ferry to Bligh Park. The student body includes about 21% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 12% students with English as an additional language or dialect. The school offers a wide range of programs, including a Support Unit, a High Potential and Gifted Education program, and culturally rich initiatives that support student wellbeing, assessment, and curriculum.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deliver Personal Development, Health and Physical Education instruction to students in Years 7‐12, contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and resource development, and support whole‐school initiatives. The role also involves participation in sporting and extracurricular activities and collaboration with a dynamic PDHPE faculty.
Qualifications / Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
* Evidence of effective practice that creates a culture of high expectations and accommodates students with diverse learning needs.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty to design programming, assessment and resources.
* High level interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with capacity to contribute to sport and extracurricular activities.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education is required. Applicants who do not hold a full approval must commence the application process concurrently with this application.
