About the role
As a Teacher Non-Emergency Patient Transport, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of health professionals. You'll design and deliver high-quality, industry-current training that supports students to achieve their best and develop the practical skills required for the sector.
In this position, you'll plan, prepare, teach and assess engaging learning programs while ensuring all training and assessment activities meet compliance and quality standards. You will maintain accurate student and course records, uphold OH&S and infection control practices, and use innovative, contextualised teaching approaches that meet the needs of diverse learners.
You will also contribute to the growth of TAFE Gippsland by participating in course planning, developing new initiatives, supporting student enquiries and enrolment processes, and engaging in promotional activities. Regular participation in Course Team meetings, maintaining your vocational and teaching currency, and collaborating with internal teams and industry partners are essential components of the role.
About you
You are an experienced industry professional who is passionate about education and committed to helping future non-emergency patient transport practitioners thrive. You have a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, current industry practices and the broader VET environment, including Training Packages and the compliance standards set by ASQA. You bring an organised and engaging teaching style, with the ability to plan effectively, conduct research, meet deadlines and create meaningful learning and assessment experiences.
You work well with others and bring a flexible, proactive approach to your role, always contributing positively to the team around you. You are confident using Microsoft Office and other digital learning technologies, and you approach your work with initiative and a genuine "can-do" attitude.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to complete with support and mentoring
