Recruitment Consultant – Blue Collar (Temporary Workforce Solutions)

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our professional staffing division in Newcastle NSW, specialising in blue-collar temporary placements. This role is well suited to a driven, client-focused recruitment professional who brings strong commercial acumen and a commitment to delivering high-quality service outcomes.
About the Role
In this position, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and candidates across the construction, manufacturing and transport sectors. You will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant workforce solutions while upholding our service standards and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting structured candidate interviews and assessments to ensure alignment with client requirements.
* Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, shortlisting, onboarding and ongoing assignment management.
* Identifying new business opportunities whilst maintaining strong consultative relationships with existing clients, providing informed hiring advice and workforce planning insights.
* Working both independently and collaboratively to achieve team and individual performance targets.
* Managing competing priorities within a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years' proven recruitment and consulting experience
in a similar blue-collar temp recruitment role.
* Strong interviewing skills
and a solid grasp of recruitment processes, with the ability to interpret client needs and recommend the right hiring strategies.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
with a client-first mindset.
* Confidence working both autonomously and collaboratively
, consistently meeting performance expectations.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
where priorities shift quickly.
* Experience across
construction, manufacturing, or transport
(highly regarded).
* A
degree in HR, Business, or related field
(preferred but not essential).
