We are seeking a motivated, and forward-thinking, technically strong Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Queensland. The Role
The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise supporting and delivering a range of electrical and solar engineering projects across Australia and overseas, including network connections, distribution upgrades, generation works and protection system design. This role offers exposure to diverse clients and project types, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, create, prepare, review and deliver electrical engineering designs and documentation.
· Provide technical input for distribution network projects, connection applications and generation systems.
· Design and analyse protection systems, including co-ordination studies and fault calculations and analysis.
· Conduct earthing system assessments and reports.
· Work with Clients, utilities and stakeholders to progress approvals and meet project milestones.
· Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes and regulatory requirements in Queensland and other jurisdictions.
· Provide technical direction to support project managers and multidisciplinary teams with technical advice and engineering risk management.
Skills and Experience – Essential
· Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
· Experience in power generation, distribution transmission connection, protection and earthing, protection systems.
· High level technical writing, project reports and communication skills.
. High level skills in Microsoft word and Excel.
. High level skills in AutoCad.
This is an on-site role based in Coomera, Queensland. Candidates must currently be located locally and available to attend the workplace.
Skills and Experience - Highly Desirable
· Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
· Experience with distribution network service provider (TNSP/DNSP) processes.
· Connection application / generator connection experience.
· Proficiency in power system analysis tools and software capability in protection modelling of power system analysis (e.g.: ETAP, Scada, PSS, PSCAD, AutoCad)
