The Opportunity

As part of our growth, we are seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time role.

The successful applicant will be involved in a range of structural engineering projects including industrial buildings and structures, retaining walls, concrete slabs, long span steel roofs, recycling centres, and waste transfer facilities.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist the structural design capability within the Talis team, including working on projects such as:

* Industrial buildings and structures.
* Retaining walls, concrete slabs, footings, piles.
* Perform site inspections and construction support for projects under construction.
* Inspect and report on the condition of existing buildings including providing remediation recommendations and advice.
* Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with clients.

About you

* Passionate about Structural Engineering with a strong desire to learn and grow your proficiency in the discipline;
* Tertiary qualified in Structural Engineering;
* Familiar with relevant Australian Standards such as AS 1170, AS 3600, and AS 4100;
* Competency with appropriate structural design software such as Space Gass;
* Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
* Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills;
* Eligible for Graduate Membership of Engineers Australia;
* Full Australian working rights.
