Responsibilities
The role involves supervising school crossings during school zone hours to ensure the safety of children, parents, teachers and motorists. Supervising hours are 8:00–9:30 AM and 2:30–4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. A total of 30 hours per fortnight are required, and compensation is provided throughout school holidays (Terms 1–3). The position is in‐person and on‐site.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay of $26.43, plus superannuation. The role is paid during school holidays and requires no out‐of‐home travel.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants should be reliable, prepared to work in all weather conditions, and possess effective communication skills. They must be alert to potential dangers and able to stand and walk for the required shifts. A willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is essential. Existing Working with Children Checks will expedite the application process.
