About the Client:
Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their busy team for a casual 12-month temporary assignment.
About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving, centered around a large-scale transformation currently underway.
Building relationships and business acumen are key skills used to support the team in delivering positive outcomes for the agency.
1. Work closely with program, business, and technical stakeholders to discover, define, validate, prioritize, and manage requirements that translate needs into outcomes aligned with architectural principles and strategies.
2. Examine and organize requirements to record dependencies, relationships, and logical sequences.
3. Synthesize business and technical requirements/concepts and present them simply.
4. Study the system being implemented to become a subject matter expert, via researching documentation, experimenting, and interviewing technical experts.
5. Draft business analyst artefacts including risk analysis, scope modeling, business process modeling, data analysis, and problem tracking.
6. Support stakeholder analysis to understand cross-business functions.
7. Participate in project quality management, reviews, and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
8. Assist in translating requirements into project deliverables and document systems and solutions developed by the team.
About You
To succeed, you should have:
1. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
2. Experience communicating with technical SMEs to understand and present business needs and technical constraints simply.
3. Flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall processes.
4. Experience with Salesforce platforms.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team across multiple projects.
6. At least 5 years in a similar role.
7. Australian Citizenship.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to hold a Baseline security clearance.
