About Vidzero
Vidzero is a nimble team of creatives dedicated to high-impact storytelling and content that drives results. We partner with a diverse range of clients—from mission-driven charities to cutting-edge tech companies—to help them find their voice and connect with their audience. We are currently in an exciting growth phase as we prepare to launch our proprietary User-Generated Content (UGC) platform, designed to revolutionize how brands and creators collaborate. We also work on documentary style shoots and short form productions. If you're passionate about great content and want to move fast in a supportive, creative environment, we want to hear from you.
Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile, high-energy Junior Video Producer to join the Vidzero team. This role is a unique blend of creative execution and production support. You will be responsible for capturing the heart of our business and our clients' stories through filming and editing, while also acting as a "right hand" to our Head of Creative on larger-scale productions.
The ideal candidate is a Sydney-based creative who is equally comfortable filming a live charity event, helping storyboard a tech brand's campaign, or managing the logistics of a complex shoot.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Social Media
* Filming: Capture high-quality video at events, workshops, and behind-the-scenes moments.
* Social & UGC Content: Create engaging, platform-specific content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and help support our upcoming UGC platform launch.
* Editing: Perform light editing work, including color grading, basic sound mixing, and adding text/graphics.
2. Production Support
* Pre-Production: Assist with video ideation, research, and technical prep.
* Storyboarding & Scripting: Help translate ideas into visual storyboards and written scripts.
* On-Set Assisting: Provide hands-on support during shoots, managing gear, lighting, and sound as needed.
3. Line Producing & Logistics
* Coordination: Manage the logistics of upcoming shoots, including scheduling, equipment lists, and location prep.
* Line Producing: Track small production budgets and ensure shoots stay on schedule and within scope.
* Set Producing: Gain experience stepping into a junior producing role on set to manage talent and flow.
What We're Looking For
* Sydney-Based: This is a hybrid role, but you must be able to attend shoots and meetings in person across the Sydney area.
* Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with mirrorless cameras, basic lighting setups, and audio capture.
* Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with mobile editing tools (CapCut, etc.) is a plus.
* Production Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the production lifecycle (Pre -> Pro -> Post).
* Creativity: An eye for what makes a video "scroll-stopping" and a genuine passion for storytelling.
* Highly Organized: You don't just like making videos; you appreciate the logistics and planning that make great content possible.
Benefits & Culture
* Mentorship: Work directly under our Head of Creative to level up your production and producing skills.
* Flexibility: We offer both part-time and full-time options depending on your experience and fit.
* Impact: See your work directly support charities and innovative tech startups.
* Variety: No two weeks are the same; you'll move between internal promotional work and high-level client productions.
* Career Growth: We value loyalty and promote from within. If you do great work you'll be rewarded and presented with new career opportunities.
