Position
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, this role is a hands‐on function at Oji Fibre Solutions, a global manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions. The position is for a Maintenance Fitter to service production machinery at our packaging site in Yatala QLD, where corrugated boxes are manufactured for the Horticulture, Meat, Industrial, FMCG and Paper Products segments.
Responsibilities
* Promptly attend to production machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime;
* Implement Preventative/Routine Maintenance programs to achieve machine and line efficiency;
* Investigate failures and make recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes;
* Log all work in the maintenance system such as SAP etc. Ensuring relevant documentation is complete and accurate;
* Perform fabrication jobs such as welding, cutting, grinding etc.;
* Work as a team player and be accountable for maintenance KPIs;
* Adhere to established EHSR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Min. 5 years post‐trade experience in a manufacturing/packaging/FMCG setting;
* Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics;
* Relevant Australian Trade Qualifications or Trade Recognition – Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter, Fitter/Machinist;
* Working knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and Lean basic tools;
* Experience in using SAP;
* Boiler attendant licence, Forklift and EWP licences preferred.
