Business Development Manager

We're looking for a driven, commercially minded Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping our growth strategy and strengthening long‐term customer partnerships. This is more than a sales role — it's an opportunity to identify market opportunities, influence strategy, and create real commercial impact across our business. You'll work closely with senior leaders, technical experts and customers to turn opportunities into sustainable revenue. If you enjoy building relationships, solving customer problems, and seeing your ideas turn into results, this role will give you the platform to do exactly that.

What You'll Be Doing

* Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted markets and customers
* Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision‐makers
* Lead the commercial front‐end of opportunities, from initial engagement through to tender, negotiation and award
* Work collaboratively with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) to develop value‐driven solutions
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform strategy and pipeline planning
* Contribute to forecasts, business plans and longer‐term growth initiatives
* Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience in business development or commercial strategic roles, ideally in an engineering, industrial, resources or B2B environment
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify value and manage risk
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
* Confidence working with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders
* A proactive, self‐motivated mindset and the ability to work autonomously
* Strong planning, organisational and follow‐through skills
