Wests New Lambton offers a variety of dining options, including specialty restaurants Chophouse Grill and Emerald Gardens and the popular Wests Food Court, which features traditional club favourites from the Bistro and modern Asian selections from New Beijing.
Responsibilities
The position involves the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality food across our various food court outlets and restaurants. Key responsibilities include:
* Complete daily prep tasks in accordance with prep sheets and par levels
* Prepare and cook food during service as directed by Chefs
* Follow recipes and kitchen procedure
* Work under the direction of Chefs and Catering Manager
* Support kitchen sections and assist Chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Portion control of dishes
* Dish presentation
* Assist with service set up and breakdown
* Store food in accordance with food safety guidelines and HACCP standards
* Follow food handling procedures and maintain awareness of HACCP and other relevant food safety standards and regulations
* Appropriately dispose of kitchen waste
* Assist with Stock Rotation and alert Chef when supplies are low
* Demonstrate flexibility to work split shifts
Qualifications
We are seeking a motivated and team orientated professional with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. You will have the ability to demonstrate pride in presentation, consistency, and quality, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to commercial kitchen operations. You will have the ability to maintain high standards in a busy and demanding environment. The following experience and qualifications are required to be considered for this position:
* Minimum 3 years Commercial Cooking Experience
* Proven ability to develop and executive innovative menu items whilst adhering to brand standards
* Commercial Cookery Certificate / Diploma is desired
* Diploma of Hospitality Management is desired
* Food Safety Certificate
