An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Officer to join a State Government department in Western suburbs. This role is for an immediate start, to work approximately 26 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, on a temporary contract until mid-2026.
**Your new role**
- Receipting of Receipts for Residents through Cash Journal
- Entering payment through Sage
- Processing and Reconciling Invoices
- Uploading Payment to the Bank
- Issuing Cheques for Police Clearance or any other relevant Cheques that need to be issued
- Resident Billing and issuing of Accounts
- Producing Bed Occupancy and Period Billing Analysis Reports
- Providing monthly catering figures for invoicing purposes
- Organise and Maintain Centrelink Payment for Residents
- General Petty Cash Handling
- Proving Debtors Reports - Liaising with Residents and other Care Facilities concerning Outstanding Amount
- Organising and Writing out Purchase Orders
- Liaising with DON with Signing and Authorisation of Accounts
- General Admin Duties - Filling of Invoices and general enquiries and follow up on Invoices
- General Purchasing of Equipment when needed
- Monthly maintenance of meter reading
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Substantial experience as an Accounts Officer
- Ideally, you will have experience with Sage or another large EPR system.
- Great communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- A current police clearance, dated within the past 6 months (or willing to obtain)
