About the Role

Smart Cases Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Web Administrator to maintain, monitor, and optimise the company's websites ensuring strong performance, security, functionality, and user accessibility. The position offers a salary range of $80,000–$90,000 AUD plus superannuation.

Responsibilities

IT Systems and Technical Support

* Determine software, hardware, and digital system requirements to support e‐commerce, customer service, and operational activities.
* Respond to inquiries and provide technical support for website, software, hardware, email, and network‐related issues.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems relating to online platforms, internal systems, and digital operations in a timely manner.
* Install, configure, update, and maintain software applications, business systems, and digital tools.
* Ensure efficient and effective use of company applications, computer equipment, and digital resources.
* Provide technical assistance to staff regarding system functionality, troubleshooting, and digital processes.
* Offer technical support services within a customer support or e‐commerce service environment when required.

Website Administration and Maintenance

* Design, develop, maintain, and update company websites and e‐commerce platforms to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
* Monitor and maintain website hosting environments, domain configurations, DNS settings, and related server functions.
* Install, configure, and update website software, plugins, themes, and extensions.
* Perform routine website maintenance, backups, upgrades, and security updates.
* Ensure company websites are responsive, secure, and compatible across multiple browsers and devices.
* Troubleshoot website errors, technical issues, and performance problems efficiently.
* Monitor website speed, functionality, and user engagement, implementing improvements where required.
* Upload, update, and manage website content including product listings, images, pricing, promotional materials, and customer information.
* Maintain content management and e‐commerce platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, or similar systems.
* Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and aligned with company branding and marketing requirements.

Network and System Implementation

* Assist in maintaining network security, system reliability, and data protection measures.
* Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
* Support integration of third‐party applications, APIs, online marketplaces, and digital business tools.
* Coordinate with external IT service providers, developers, hosting providers, and vendors when required.

Content and Digital Operations

* Support e‐commerce functionality including payment gateways, customer interfaces, online forms, and product catalogue management.
* Analyse website traffic, customer engagement, and performance metrics using analytics and reporting tools.
* Implement SEO and website optimisation practices to improve online visibility and customer reach.
* Maintain documentation relating to website configurations, technical procedures, updates, and IT systems.
* Assist with digital operations supporting online sales, customer service, and business processes across domestic and international markets.

General Duties

* Collaborate with management and team members to support online operations, customer service, and business growth initiatives.
* Stay updated with emerging web technologies, cybersecurity practices, and e‐commerce industry trends.
* Perform additional duties related to IT support, website administration, and digital operations as required.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor qualification in Information Technology, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar web administration role.
* Strong knowledge of website administration, hosting environments, and CMS platforms.
* Experience with WordPress, Shopify, cPanel, or similar website management systems.
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web development principles.
* Knowledge of website security practices, backups, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Familiarity with SEO principles, web analytics tools, and website optimisation methods.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve technical website issues efficiently.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high‐quality digital services.
* Good organisational and time‐management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Professional work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Experience in e‐commerce website administration will be highly regarded.
