The Head Squad Coach will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of YMCA NSW squad programs in accordance with industry guidelines and training sessions within the centre. This role involves ongoing training and supervision of coaches. The successful applicant must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
About the role
YMCA Head Coaches play a vital role in delivering YMCA aquatic education programs and services. You are expected to maintain thorough knowledge of all aspects of YMCA aquatic programs, educational trends, and industry developments. Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering safe, effective, and professional sessions.
2. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of coaching practices.
3. Being available to undertake every allocated squad for a minimum of 12 months.
4. Managing and leading the squad team.
5. Handling additional WHS, administration, and planning of the squad program.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Teacher of Competitive Strokes/Swimming or Swim Australia Foundation Coach Certificate.
- Development Accreditation.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates.
- Working with Children Check.
