Brisbane | Full-Time | Leadership Role
We're looking for a high-level Senior Industrial Designer to lead our design team and drive the creative direction across a broad range of products in plastics, metals, signage, security systems and commercial fit-out components.
This role is perfect for someone who is hands‑on, confident, calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for guiding junior designers, ensuring accuracy, pushing quality, and owning the full creative process from concept through to production.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage our growing industrial design team.
* Oversee design workflows, creative direction, and product aesthetics.
* Produce high‑level industrial, mechanical and product designs for commercial applications.
* Review, approve and refine production drawings before release to the factory.
* Work closely with fabrication, CNC, engineering, and project management teams.
* Solve design challenges quickly and practically.
* Ensure every design meets manufacturing, cost, material and safety requirements.
* Maintain and improve design standards, templates, and file structures.
* Train and support junior designers to lift capability and consistency.
* Manage multiple jobs at once and keep deadlines tight.
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years industrial design experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
* Experience with plastics, metals, joinery, and/or fabrication.
* Ability to produce clear production drawings and BOMs.
* Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, fixings and practical construction methods.
* Confident leading a team and communicating with installers, suppliers and clients.
* High attention to detail — no sloppy or careless work.
* Clean, modern design style with a commercial/technical mindset.
