The Role
Clinical Trial Assistant – Phlebotomy/Laboratory (12‐month fixed term with ongoing opportunity – Full Time) at Cabrini Malvern.
Key responsibilities
* Collect blood samples via venepuncture and other specimens at specific time points.
* Process blood samples as per protocols, including operating a centrifuge to prepare and separate samples.
* Assist in tracking, storing, organising and shipping biospecimen samples.
* Perform various tests, including vital signs assessments, height and weight measurements, Holter and ECG recordings as per protocols.
* Prepare and organise clinical trial kits and consumables, including associated administrative duties.
* Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, resolve queries, liaise with couriers and support the nursing team.
* Communicate regularly with study coordinators to schedule patient visits and coordinate sample collection.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
* Certificate III or IV in Pathology Specimen Collection (required).
* Recent experience in venepuncture and ECG collection (minimum one year).
* Experience with blood sample processing preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
* Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
