Are you an experienced Assistant Venue Manager ready for a new challenge in the heart of Surfers Paradise? The Local is seeking a motivated, hands-on Venue Manager who thrives on autonomy and is excited to join a close-knit, collaborative team.
Located in the bustling heart of Surfers Paradise, The Local is an iconic Aussie pub known for its warm atmosphere, cold beers, hearty pub fare, and vibrant live sports scene. Famed for its award-winning "Best Parmy," The Local has built a reputation as the go-to spot for both tourists and locals looking to unwind in a welcoming, laid-back environment.
As the Venue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the venue. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, fostering strong relationships with team members, patrons, and local suppliers, and maintaining a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a similar venue
- Knowledge of venue reporting and systems
- Understanding of P&Ls, COGs, and GPs
- Ability to generate revenue-building ideas across all business areas
- Presence on the floor during peak service times, including late nights and weekends
- Effective roster management and stocktaking skills
- Current RLMV & Approved Managers license
