This unique opportunity exists within the Surgical Services Suite:

* Classification Range: RN ANUM Year 1 - Year 2 (YW11 - YW12)*

On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing

The Surgical Services Suite finds itself in a unique position with the growth and redevelopment of its Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) structure presenting an exciting opportunity for experienced Surgical Scrub/Scout nurses.

Moving toward a specialist model has provided an opportunity in the following Surgical Specialities for the employment of an ANUM:

* Plastics

The successful applicants will become an integral part of the Surgery and Operating Suite Management team, providing leadership and guidance in relation to their speciality's services. They will demonstrate high level perioperative nursing experience, effective leadership skills, management experience, and possess the ability to influence the environment for their speciality's services through improvements to systems and processes within an integrated model of operating.

Position Description

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Minimum 3 years post graduate experience in Perioperative nursing
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills
* Knowledge and commitment to quality improvement principles
* Polite and considerate in dealing with others.
* Accepts responsibilities for own actions.
* Supports individuals and the team, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
* Understands the issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond.
* Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
* Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team
