Pastry Chef Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and communications of the pastry section in collaboration with the Head Chef.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry and relevant experience in a similar role. You will be expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily communications and operations of the pastry section
* Liaise daily with the culinary team regarding all aspects of pastry food production, set ups & timings for daily events
* Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of areas of responsibility focusing on attention to detail
* Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
* Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience
* Ensure compliance to Work, Health and Safety, Hygiene and HACCP standards
* Be creative and innovative when assisting with menu design and outlet concepts
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Working rights in Australia
