Job Title:
As a Drainage Specialist, you will oversee daily operations of work crews while performing construction and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of work crews to ensure smooth project execution.
* Collaborate with the Supervisor to achieve quality, safety, and environmental goals for civil construction and maintenance projects.
* Plan and schedule work assignments to meet task deadlines using available resources.
* Lead team members in daily work activities, promoting teamwork and guiding trainees.
* Operate plant and equipment, interpret plans and specifications, and apply traffic control as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* A trade qualification or equivalent with remote supervision experience.
* The ability to operate and maintain plant and equipment according to established competencies.
* Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
* Strong numeracy, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and the ability to mitigate risks.
* A current Queensland C-Class driver's license and Construction Industry White/Blue Card.
* Ability to interpret plans and specifications, and apply problem-solving skills based on trade experience.
