**The Opportunity**:
As National Distribution Manager, this opportunity will place you in control of national distribution operations for a thriving FMCG brand. Your leadership will support overall achievement of the wider business strategy. Working with a small number of 3PL distribution partners to manage our warehouse and last-mile delivery networks, this role will oversee and manage the day-to-day 3PL relationships and performance to meet our ongoing customer service expectations.

In terms of the network:

- Manufacturing is in-house and takes place in Australia.
- Raw material is Inbound from Aussie farmers
- Finished goods are Outbound via 3PLs and retailed by the leading supermarket.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Support the delivery of the tactical and strategic distribution operations by:

- Ensuring that the 3PL distribution providers understand their duties and role.
- Guaranteeing 3PLs are maintaining high safety standards in their operations.
- Maintaining and develop the 3PLs performance against KPIs.
- Revieing and encouraging the development, performance and maintenance of the organisation's 3PL distribution network to produce an efficient distribution service, maximising performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed KPIs with 3PL carriers.
- Controlling budgets and plan to maximise profitability in the distribution task.
- Developing new initiatives and look for new ways to optimise the distribution cost and service offering.
- Boosting maximum customer satisfaction through the provision of optimal on-time and accurate distribution solutions.
- Maintaining responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory, regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations, with a focus on all safety requirements.
- Managing, directing, and monitoring all 3PL distribution services and the overall performance of the distribution operations to increase efficiency and maximise service, performance, value and profit.
- Handling investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints, providing resolutions within agreed timeframes. (Supported by the Customer Service team).
- Contributing to the training and development of the broader Logistics & Supply team.
- Act as the point of contact within for all distribution & inventory related enquiries, provide distribution related information, support, and assistance within the organisation as required.
- Maintaining and improving mechanisms for the operation of the distribution services, including surveying and measuring satisfaction with the distribution service internally and for end customers and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities.
- Generating warehousing performance and budget reports on a monthly basis or as required.
- Adhering to all organisation policies and procedures.
- Developing an understanding of the 5-year strategy and advocate opportunities to maximise effectiveness from warehousing and distribution activities in a commercial manner which is underpinned by quality and safety.
- Developing strategic national warehousing plans which deliver our sustainability, risk management, and customer service outcomes in line with the strategic 5-year plan.
- Participating and Leading special projects.

**As a Leader**
- This is a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Customer Delivery targets.
- Make safety a priority and champion a safety culture with the extended distribution team.
- Actively participate in the People Processes.
- Positively contribute to team culture and engagement plans.

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- A wealth of warehousing / distribution / logistics management experience within the FMCG sector.
- SAP experience and working knowledge of WMS / Inventory management solutions.
- Direct experience in warehousing and distribution management and customer/supplier relationship management.
- Fundamental understanding of Vendor Management practices.
- A proven track record managing / working for a 3PL provider.
