We’re thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join BOC a Linde Company as a Business Development Specialist, based out at Mackay and covers Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Mt Isa & Darwin. This full-time role will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving the company's growth strategy. You will identify and secure new clients across a range of industries.
What You Will Enjoy Doing
- In this role you will identify new business opportunities within existing geographical boundaries, as well to win and secure profitable competitor customers as per branch budget targets
- Target and increase tonnage against monthly budgets as part of your role, aligned with Elgas and Linde Group service and ethical standards
- Complete and submit monthly reports on due dates
- Report on all product categories in the relevant branch with regard to margin, volume and competitor activity
- Establish and maintain data on the customer information base, via appropriate EWS screens
- Develop trade allies and ensure they are serviced
- Conduct cylinder safety-training sessions for new customers as required
- Develop and maintain records of opposition customers, and ensure new customers operate toward Elgas safety standards
- Liaise with branch and transport functions to ensure desirable service levels are achieved
- Coordinate and cooperate with Customer Service staff to achieve goals and targets for respective areas
- Monitor work, promotions, advertising, etc. to ensure Elgas logo, trademark and other company identifications are presented consistently with company guidelines and exposure is maximised
What Makes You Great
- 2-3 years industrial gas field sales experience is required
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- Robust sales experience and results orientation
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
