Finance Officer – Department of Education, Western Australia
Permanent, full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026 at Eastern Hills Senior High School, an Independent Public School for Years 7–12.
Overview
Provide senior financial and administrative support to the school, ensuring accurate processing of payments, invoicing, cash and asset management, and reconciliation. Work closely with the Manager Corporate Services to budget, manage finances and comply with legislation and policy.
Responsibilities
- Process payments, manage invoicing, cash and assets, and conduct reconciliations.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning and reporting.
- Provide advice and support to staff on financial procedures, software (SIS Integris, Microsoft 365) and legislative matters.
- Supervise administrative support staff, including scheduling, task allocation and performance management.
- Ensure all financial processes comply with Department of Education policies and relevant legislation.
Qualifications
- Superior organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Solid knowledge of accounting processes, Department of Education policies, RM Finance, RM Billing, SIS Integris and Microsoft 365.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate and manipulate databases, spreadsheets and related systems.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with innovative thinking.

Eligibility
