Project Planning & Control Specialist
We are seeking a seasoned Project Planning & Control Specialist to join our team, focusing on schedule planning, monitoring, and control for assigned projects.
This role emphasizes Earned Value Management (EVM) to track performance against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
1. Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera and Microsoft Project.
2. Collaborate to create an accurate Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
3. Perform variance analysis and report on schedule progress against the PMB.
4. Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and deliverables.
5. Conduct schedule risk assessments and ensure schedule health using tools such as DCMA 14-point checks and Acumen Fuse.
6. Facilitate Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and other project review processes.
7. Provide coaching to junior team members.
8. Ensure adherence to project management processes and assist in finance-related analysis when required.
Our ideal candidate will have TAFE, tertiary, or equivalent qualifications in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
The successful applicant will also possess at least 6 years of experience in a project scheduling or EVM environment, along with proficiency in Primavera, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling tools.
Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies like PERT and Critical Path Method (CPM), as well as experience with financial and budgetary controls for projects, is essential.
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, and applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
