Your role
The Catering Co-ordinator is responsible for assisting and relieving the Catering Quality Manager in all aspects of the catering department and food services operations. The role is pivotal in consistently delivering timely and high-quality meals to meet and exceed residents/' individualised needs and preferences.
The kitchen currently produces and delivers approximately 700 meals daily.
The position is required to be hands on to work across catering shifts and to supervise the day-to-day operations of the Home/'s kitchen and Cafe, to deliver food services which comply with the current Legislation and Acts. You must be available one weekend a fortnight to manage the rosters call-in for the Hotel Services Team.
The Catering Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the management of staff within the catering department and purchasing within budgets.
Qualifications and requirements
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - desired
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-stress environment
Demonstrated understanding of providing hospitality services to people living in an aged care environment
Ability to organise workload and manage time effectively.
Ability to manage multiple services within designed budgets
Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements relating to an aged care environment – i.e., Food Services Act, Workplace Health and Safety, Aged care standards.
Ability to supervise a team to optimise staff efficiency and productivity.
Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills.
Employees of TGSH must qualify to work in Australia. Successful applicants will be required to undergo NDIS Worker Assess Screening.
