**Role Title - Accounts Payable Officer**

**Role Overview**
We are looking for a motivated and experienced **Accounts Payable Officer **to join our corporate team. You will be reporting to the Corporate Team and will join a supportive team environment that values unique and diverse thinking.
**Responsibilities**
- Record, code and process a high volume of invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Record, code and process credit card transactions
- Adherence to purchase order procedures.
- Record, code and process staff expense reimbursements and other claims (allowances, etc) and provide training/guidance where appropriate.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Handle supplier queries by providing excellent customer service.
- Following up on unapproved invoices
- Preparing weekly Supplier payment working file to be reviewed by Corporate Team and approved by the CFO
- Processing weekly supplier payment run.
- Distributing of Remittance advice
- Management of accounts inbox ensuring all new items are actioned in a timely manner and following up on unresolved approvals / queries.
**Other Important Tasks**
- Communicating with staff regarding supplier payments
- Staff/Contractor relationships and Terms of Contract
- Other ad hoc tasks as directed.
- Identification and implementation of process improvements
- Maintenance of AP process document with a view to continually improving the process
**What You Bring**
- 3+ years' experience in Accounts Payable and fulfilling similar role requirements.
- A solid understanding of financial principles and bookkeeping
- Thorough attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Considerable experience with online accounting systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and be a key contributor to the finance team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and an outstanding phone manner.
- Problem solver
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
**Salary**: $33.00 per hour
