Geriatric Mental Health Professional Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to provide high-quality geriatric mental health services across metropolitan and regional settings in a supportive, collaborative, and energetic multidisciplinary team environment.
About the Role
This is a contract at 0.4 full-time equivalent, offering the opportunity to work in a variety of roles including clinical management, service development and improvement, education, training, and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a hospital facility under your care.
* Support clinical teams and contribute to service development and improvement.
* You will supervise a junior psychiatrist, playing a vital role in education, training, and the development of future psychiatrists.
Requirements
* Current medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
* Certificate of Advanced Training in Old Age Psychiatry (RANZCP).
* Ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence-based best practice.
* Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
* Participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Ability to comply with public health organisation objectives.
