Location – Blacktown

Administrative Assistant Clerk Grade 1/2 – Talent Pool creation for temporary and ongoing employment

Salary - $75,728 - $82,329 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading

The Extended Supervision Order (ESO) Team supervises and monitors high-risk sexual and violent people in the community subject to an ESO or Interim Supervision Order (ISO) and people in custody on an Interim Detention Order (IDO) or Continuing Detention Order (CDO). These orders all provide an additional period of supervision that extends beyond the expiry date of a current sentence.

The ESO Team works with the NSW Police Force and other government and non-government stakeholders to mitigate the risks posed by people subject to orders. Community Corrections staff attached to the ESO Team are also responsible for preparing assessment reports for the NSW Supreme Court when an ESO or CDO is being considered, along with the provision of annual progress reports to the Attorney General for each individual subject of an existing order.

Your role

As an Administrative Assistant within the ESO Team, you will provide high‐quality administrative and clerical support to a specialist Community Corrections team managing people subject to post‐sentence orders. This role supports the effective operation of a high‐risk, multidisciplinary environment by ensuring records, systems, documentation and communication processes are accurate, timely and professionally managed. You will work closely with Community Corrections staff, partner agencies and stakeholders to support safe and effective supervision outcomes.

What you'll do

* Working collaboratively within a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team supporting the supervision of people subject to Extended Supervision Orders.
* Providing high‐quality administrative support in a complex, high‐risk environment, including maintaining records, registers, correspondence and documentation related to post‐sentence orders and electronic monitoring.
* Support the coordination of meetings and operational activities, including booking rooms, preparing agendas and packs, recording attendance and assisting with follow‐up actions.
* Assist with the preparation and collation of documentation related to Extended Supervision Orders, electronic monitoring and pre‐release processes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to routine enquiries and escalating matters where appropriate.
* Provide reception support where required, managing interactions professionally and respectfully in a sensitive operational environment.
* Ensure compliance with records management, privacy, information security and organisational procedures.
* Supporting the coordination of regular multi‐agency meetings, including schedule reviews, strategic case management meetings, case conferences and exit meetings.

What we're looking for

The ESO Team operates differently to a general Community Corrections office and offers a unique administrative experience supporting specialist supervision work. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who demonstrates:

* Strong organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work in a high‐volume, fast‐paced environment.
* Confidence in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and supporting professional staff.
* Well‐developed communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
* A capacity to learn and apply specialist processes and systems unique to the ESO environment.
* Resilience, discretion and professionalism when working in a high‐risk and sensitive operational setting.
* An understanding that the role may be offered on a temporary basis and may involve movement in line with operational requirements.
