ABOUT THE ROLE As a key member of the Commercial Finance Team, the Commercial Analyst will assess strategic financial options and opportunities for delivering BAI Communications financial targets and supporting the financial planning and reporting processes. You will provide insights into business performance of Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety, and make recommendations to support BAI Communications in achieving its strategic and financial goals. This will include an overflow of capital projects. This is a 9-month contract role. Key Responsibilities: Planning & Reporting • Develop and provide the BAI Executive team with timely, high quality financial planning, reporting, analysis, insights and recommendations to achieve business outcomes that has a focus on Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety. • Provide support to stakeholders in the financial planning and monthly analysis of their cost centres and capital spend. • Support the production of BAI Communication's monthly Business Performance Review for presentation to the CEO and CFO. • Support a highly efficient and effective annual Budget process for stakeholders ensuring that the business allocates its human and capital resources effectively. • Partner with the Project Management Office to support the financial and performance reporting of capital projects sponsored by the General Managers of Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety Commercial Finance • Partnering with stakeholders to drive profitable and sustainable growth and deliver on business objectives, whilst ensuring business integrity, financial health, and control. • Participate in key growth decisions as business partner to stakeholders and partner with peers to deliver on growth opportunities, evolving partnership deals and technology advancements. • Support the Finance Analyst – Capital Projects to support the project maintenance of capital projects Transformation • Enhancing decision support / analytics tools to enable both functions and their stakeholders to manage business performance and respond quickly to issues / opportunities. • To champion and drive operating efficiency and effectiveness, constantly seeking opportunities to improve the key financial metrics and ratios of the business. • Initiate and lead projects and initiatives to improve business understanding and performance. ABOUT YOU • Minimum 5 years' Management experience in Finance, Investment Banking or related industry –services sector including Telecommunications, IT or Broadcasting highly regarded • Minimum 5 years practical experience in a Finance/Accounting area - financial planning, reporting and control • Prior experience in FP&A, planning and Business Partnering roles highly desirable. • You will have a strong commercial acumen • Have solid strategic and operational experience with Finance practices, standards, systems and processes • Be confident at reporting and presenting • Experience of dealing with project accounting, bid support, capital projects • An expert in Financial Modelling • Degree qualified professional qualification – ACA/CPA (preferred) • Be available to commit to a 9-month contract BENEFITS & CULTURE At BAI, we embrace difference, and we welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, people with disability and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
