Water Meter Reader Role
This role involves providing water meter readings for customers as part of our quarterly billing cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately record and upload meter data to meet organisational requirements.
* Inspect meters for damage or leaks, and identify any irregularities or abnormal water usage.
* Work safely and efficiently, adhering to East Gippsland Water health and safety policies.
* Represent the organisation in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with customers.
Requirements:
* Possess a current driver's licence and own a roadworthy vehicle (reimbursement of costs by EGW).
* Be physically fit and able to walk long distances during meter reading cycles.
* Have experience using hand-held electronic devices and be proficient in verifying and validating readings.
* Have a sound knowledge of the local area and be able to use initiative to locate services.
* Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, including those related to customer service and safety.
